The mission of the Lake Elsinore Valley Education Foundation, a not-for-profit organization, is to provide scholarships to college bound LEUSD students. Providing books to elementary age students is a new program started this year. The Foundation was created in honor of former LEUSD Superintendent Dr. Sharron Lindsay, who envisioned it as a lasting way for the community to help support students of all abilities to pursue a college education. Fundraising activities for scholarships include an annual golf tournament in April, bingo nights at the Elks lodge, and partnerships with local businesses.

9th Annual Golf Tournament

Our annual spring Golf Tournament is slated for April 10, 2017 at the Links at Summerly
in beautiful Lake Elsinore.

Miles of Smiles!

The Lake Elsinore Valley Education Foundation recently brought smiles to hundreds of Wildomar kids by gifting over  400 books to kids in costume at the City of Wildomar's Trunk or Treat Celebration. Held at Marna O'Brien Park, hundreds of kids along with their parents descended on jumpers, carnival games and lots of trunks open with treats.  At the LEVEF Trunk, kids were able to choose from Princess or Avenger books as well as books based on popular kids programs like Doc McStuffin, Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Phineus and Ferb. Many parents remarked what a great option picking out a book was instead of candy. Directors noticed many kids came back for a second book before the night was over. Kudos to the City of Wildomar for bringing our community together!

National Night Out

The Lake Elsinore Valley Education Foundation joined in on Lake Elsinore's National Night Out Program held at Lakepoint Park. A national program, NNO gears the night's program to educating their local residents to the resources and programs available from law enforcement agencies serving their communities.  Booths were set up by various agencies and community groups that ranged from information to games for kids. The LEVEF booth sponsored a popular cornhole game and we gave away books just for trying the game! Directors gave away over 350 books to Lake Elsinore kids and we thank both local law enforcement and the City of Lake Elsinore for the opportunity to give away books and to share our goal of supporting Family Literacy. Our new slogan is Reading is Fun, Pass it On! This embodies the idea that we can create a lifetime reader by first, reading to children when they are small and then leading by example; reading for fun as adults. We can pass along the fun of reading by the example we set in each part of our child's life.

Shop for a Cause

The Lake Elsinore Valley Education Foundation will proudly join many other organizations at the Outlet Center's annual Shop for a Cause Program . Held annually in November at the Lake Elsinore Outlets, those who purchase tickets are treated to a great day of shopping discounts, catered lunch, wine tasting, free gift wrap and much more! A great local community program,  each ticket sold benefits the organization directly. We thank the Lake Elsinore Outlets and their many sponsors who provide this special holiday shopping day that not only benefits local non profits but the community members who participate with discounts and opportunities for great deals!

We do all the leg work by applying for the books and working with LEUSD officials in determining distributions sites.
Your donated dollars can help us to pay shipping costs and we thank you by placing sponsor labels in each book.
