  Lake Elsinore Valley Education Foundation Awards Scholarships

Ten seniors from LEUSD high schools receive $1,000 scholarships


The Lake Elsinore Valley Education Foundation (LEVEF), a local non-profit philanthropic organization, presented ten $1,000 individual scholarship awards to Lake Elsinore Unified District college-bound seniors during a reception with students and families on May 16, 2017. Scholarship funding included donations of $5,000 from Southern California Edison and $1,000 from SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union, in addition to LEVEF’s annual fundraising efforts.

Scholarship awards are based on personal student essays, interviews with Foundation directors, and applicant information. This year’s recipients include Elsinore HSBrianna Gorham-Moran, Sydney Southwick, Jordan Castello, and Holly Chang; Lakeside HSMegan Carter and Nathan Smith; Ortega HSAdela Maldonado; and from Temescal HSKelley Cowan, Jordyn Strange, and Dylan Reese. The Lake Elsinore Valley Education Foundation has awarded scholarships since 2005.
